Stylish, Durable and Practical
Joovy completely redesigned the Grove Stroller to ensure it had all the vital ingredients needed for a top quality umbrella stroller. Aesthetically, the stroller is very pleasing with its lightweight aluminium frame and beautifully sleek shape which is finished in durable 600D fabric. With four nice color choices available, you’re almost certain to find a color which matches your personal taste.
The large roomy seat provides plenty of growing room for your child and has an impressive 55 lbs max weight capacity, while the adjustable 5-point harness is padded for their comfort and uses a tough buckle for extra safety.
To make the Joovy usable for every parent, it features 42.5″ ergonomic handles so tall parents will get to grips with it without problems. The sun canopy is extra large and has two adjustments so your child has ample sun protection so they can have fun in sun. It also has a large see-through window on top so you can keep an eye on your child easily whilst the canopy is down.
Flexible Seating Adjustments
This stroller features a seat recline which semi-reclines at variable positions, making it suitable for children 6 months and up to 5 years. The seat recline feature uses a strap which allows you to recline the seat easily with just one-hand. Putting the seat back to its upright position is equally as simple and just involves pushing it back upwards.
The adjustable leg rest can be put into either two positions so a baby can have the rest put down and an older child can have the leg rest lifted up for extra leg support.
There are plenty of storage options throughout the stroller which give you lots of room to store bits and bobs. At the back of the stroller, there are two bottle pockets at the top which let you fit in two average sized bottles. A small zipped storage pocket is located below which is handy for putting in small items on the go. The large bottom basket can accommodate larger items such as diaper bags although keep in mind that it’s much harder to access this basket when the seat is reclined. There are also two mesh pocket in the sides of the seat which are good for storing baby items like small toys.
Pros and Cons
The Joovy Groove Umbrella Stroller is sturdy, stylish, easy to manoeuvre, has a very roomy seat and excellent storage. The sun canopy is wonderful and also worthy of a mention.
Lockable front wheels prevent the stroller swerving when you’re strolling over rougher surfaces. One-hand folding with automatic locking gives you the kind of convenience any busy parent will appreciate.
The seat doesn’t fully recline so if you have a newborn, then this stroller won’t be suitable until they are at least 6 months old.
The ergonomic handle is none-adjustable so parents below 5ft 5″ may find the handle height a bit awkward after strolling for prolonged periods.
Joovy evidently know what they’re doing when it comes to implementing the features which parents really want in a stroller. The Joovy Groove Umbrella Stroller gives umbrella strollers a good name with its fantastic style, ease of use, first class storage options and great versatility. If you’re in the market for a great umbrella stroller then we give this one the green light.
