  • Lightweight aluminium frame
  • One-hand, umbrella fold
  • Swivelling/lockable front wheels
  • 5-point safety harness
  • Reclining seat; Adjustable leg rest
  • Telescoping handle

Ultra Lightweight

The Pliko Mini is the perfect travel companion for you and your child whether you’re taking long or short trips. The sturdy, aluminium frame is lightweight so the stroller weights just 11lbs, making it one of the most lightweight full featured umbrella strollers in the market.

Adaptable

The fact children grow so quickly means you need a stroller that can adapt as they grow. The three position seat recline function allows you to recline the seat far back so you’re little one can take a much needed nap. The adjustable footrest is great for when your child wants to sleep and needs better leg support.

Good Handling

The use of telescoping handles allow you to adjust the height of the handle in two different height positions, so taller parents can comfortably push the stroller without straining down. The front swivel wheels can be locked into position to prevent unwanted swerving by simply lifting up the clips over each wheel with your foot.

One-hand Fold

The days of taking ages in the street or parking lot to fold up your stroller are a thing of the past. With the one-hand fold feature you can collapse the stroller down to a compact size quickly by simply pressing in the two small clips under the handles and pulling the small rear handle behind the seat upwards.

The stroller can also stand upright on its own once it’s been folded; this is great for saving space particularly in situations where you only need to temporarily fold the stroller, such as in a restaurant.

Sun Canopy

The large ratcheting canopy is a welcome change from the small canopies we usually see on lightweight strollers. Being able to put it down in either two positions is good as you can give your child just the amount of sun protection they need.

Storage

Storage on the Pilko Mini is OK, but not great. The shape of the rear frame means you need to place items into the basket from the sides instead of the rear. The mesh basket itself is medium-sized so it has a good capacity. An adult cup holder is included which attaches to the handlebar, so you can easily grab a refreshing drink whilst strolling on those hot sweltering days.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

The Pilko Mini is very lightweight, well built, good suspension, easy to fold/unfold, adaptable, easy to push even one-handed and has a great sun canopy.

With 4 vibrant color choices available, there is plenty of scope to match your style.

Cons:

The cup holder is rather small plus due to the fact it’s an attachment means that it can fall off quite easily if it gets knocked into.

Access to the storage basket is awkward, but given the type of stroller this is we don’t see this as much of a drawback.

Final Thoughts

The Peg Perego Pliko Mini Stroller is a lovingly constructed baby stroller than brings the kind of functionality most people wouldn’t normally associate with an umbrella stroller. Its style cannot be faulted; neither can its level of flexibility with its spacious reclining seat. We found it to be little nosier than most compact strollers and the storage options could be enhanced, but overall this is a wonderful mini stroller for travel.
